Phobias
There is one thing in this world. y'all, that can bring me to my knees.
It makes my stomach upset.
Makes my skin crawl.
Just the simple SIGHT of this phobia of mine makes me ill.
I'm not even exaggerating.
What is this phobia I speak of?????
Bumps.
Yes. You read correctly. Bumps.
More specifically...bumps on the skin. Not just any ol bumps though....
CLUSTERS OF BUMPS ON THE SKIN.
Even thinking of this makes me itchy. I'm quite serious.
I can't even post a picture of something like it because it would make me sick.
Isn't that horrible????
I don't really have any theories as to WHY I have this phobia.
My only conclusion is when I was in high school, I ran cross country. During one of the meets, I slipped and fell into an ant pile.
I was covered head to toe in ant bites. Hundreds of them.
I had to use Picnik (which I'm going to miss TERRIBLY in a few weeks) to give you an example of what I'm talking about.
This even grossed me out, but it's not so bad as the real thing.
It's such a weird phobia to have, but I have it.

Ugh that grosses me out too! I get all itchy and start thinking it's on me.
I won't sit in a booth or in a seat on the plane unless I'm on the outside. I don't like that I'm not able to get out whenever I want. I know its weird lol

i once watched Maury and there was a girl who had a phobia of Aluminum Foil...so odd!
im not sure if I have any phobia...i mean i have an intense fear of flying, but im not sure if id categorize that as a fear of phobia!
but if i had to choose, I think itd be something like rat/mice tails...just seeing them how theyre bony looking and pink/gray...makes me shiver!
i don't think i have a "phobia" but maybe you can call it one. i can't say the word or type the word, etc m-le. you know those things on people's skin that sometimes cause cancer. i've been this way as long as i can remember. not sure where it came from.
That's probably the weirdest phobia I have heard of someone having! Lol. RANDOM!
I have this one really weird phobia... when i'm in the shower, I can't close my eyes.
Really, I am so terrified to close my eyes, and then when I open them, have a spider hanging in my face, or a monster's face up close, that I cannot do it. A picture of the scariest thing in the world will suddenly pop into my head when I'm rinsing my face, and I'll jerk back, sputtering and coughing. It's awful.

I have a lot of friends who HATE cotton balls. And I'm evil so I used to fill up their purses with them.
Mine's not necessarily a phobia, but repetitive noises make me want to have a nervous breakdown... Seriously.
crazy!! but i can totally relate. i broke out in head to toe poison ivy for the first time every in high school during homecoming week. fml. that looked REAL cute in a dress, lemme tell ya. lol. so i still to this day fear, dread, can't even think about getting poison ivy again. ugh.
I can't stand loose cotton (cotton balls, etc.), it makes me vomit and even typing this has my stomach in my throat.
I have a phobia of adhesives. Try explaining THAT one to people who ask you to tape up a sign, or pass them a sticker, or tell you they're out of gift bags for presents... which means wrapping paper and tape.
It gives me the shivers and dry heaves. I won't touch anything sticky. I refuse.
I hate snot and spit. I can't stand the sound of people spitting or seeing it. It makes me sick to think about it.
I am also deathly afraid of puffer fish!!
Snakes. Deathly afraid, crawl out of my skin, have nightmares, and have cried and almost passed out when one was put next to me. I will NEVER see snakes on a plane.
Oh my YES!!! Bumps of ANY sort are absolutely disgusting!! Makes me sick thinking of them...ewwwww, you did a great job of explaining them that's for sure!! I have a phobia of ANYTHING to do with sickness...hate it!
ahhhh! i have the same fear, only i call it a fear of little dots!!! gross!

I am terrified of flying. Not as random or uncommon as yours I don't think, but nothing will skyrocket my heart rate and bring me to tears faster than getting on a plane.

I cannot STAND the feel of unfinished wood (i.e. popsicle sticks, steak knives, wooden spoons). It freaks me the HELL out!
I absolutely hate snakes...DISLIKE!! Although I have to say I'm not too fond of bumps either, lol!
Sharks. And I don't mean like a "yikes I better not go in the ocean" I mean like I don't even like to drive over bridges that go over water, because what if I get in a car accident and go over the bridge and get eaten by a shark. Yes, it's a problem.
This post is disturbing and gross! Lol. But yeah, I'm afraid of frogs! Yuck!
Family Doctors, badly! I cry, sweat, shake, and my BP goes through the roof! I would rather have my teeth pulled than go to a check up - everyone thinks I am crazy
It's weird but every time I go to San Diego, I get the worst case of heat rash all over my hands and arms. I'm talking bumps even in my cuticles. Its ugly, awful and disgusting looking. Really gross. It doesn’t happen in Mexico, Puerto Rico or Miami, just San Diego. I stay away! But my phobia is flies!! YUK i HATE them!!!

My fears are all pretty supposedly irrational (other than like . . . death).
Red Cars, Frogs, Volcanoes, Dead Asians (thanks to The Grudge), Contortionists, and Spiders.
Mine is snakes! Even if I see them on a show or in a magazine, I instantly freak and wonder if their under my couch! lol
I am scared of frogs! I can't even look at pictures without my skin crawling and getting all anxious!

my weird phobia? car washes. they make me hyperventilate. recently i was with my parents they wanted to get their car washes so i got out and stood in the freezing cold for 15 mins so i didn't have to go in to a car wash.
Birds... birds birds birds. I am absolutely TERRIFIED of birds.
@Emily I have vasovagal syncope. Its kinda of like a fear of anything medical...but I'll faint I get so freaked out. I faint like....a lot! It is no bueno :(
My phobia is being pushed of a cliff like I am honestly petrified of it and avoid anything remotely cliffy or mountainy because of it. When I went to the Grand Canyon I was so petrified I stayed in the gift store the whole time and did not even really see it!
My husband's phobia is touching flour and it amuses me endlessly when he accidentally touches it in the kitchen if I am baking. He totally freaks out and has to wash his hands a few times!
Ha, I just posted on Heather's blog about this. I am terrified of someone throwing up. If someone says they feel sick, I STRESS until I can get away from them. If me or someone in my family is exposed to a stomach virus, I stress for days all while googling how long does it take once you are exposed to catch a stomach bug. It gives me anxiety. I am a weirdo :)
