If you really knew me:
*you'd know that I still think about someone or something grabbing my foot or ankle when I get out of bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.
*you'd know that I wear contacts
*you'd know I'm deathly afraid of clusters of bumps...weird, I know. I just am.
*you'd know that I stay up for countless hours in the middle of the night panicking about what kind of mother I am going to be come December
*you'd know I have anxiety
*you'd know that purple is my most favorite color in the world
*you'd know that I refuse (ABSOLUTELY REFUSE) to watch a movie if I know one of the main characters dies or an animal or pet dies
*you'd know that I'm a sucker for anything Michael Kors
*you'd know that I cry at the drop of a hat
*you'd know that I'm really good at spending money
*you'd know I used to be blonde
*you'd know that my sister is my best friend in the whole wide world
*you'd know that I can sing almost any song or remember the most random lines from a movie
*you'd know that I love turtles
*you'd know that I once worked as a news reporter
*you'd know that I think about the past often and always regret a few of my dumb choices
*you'd know that I'm the happiest I have ever been with EVERYTHING in my life. I wouldn't change one. single. thing. Not one.

We have a lot in common. I can't watch scary movies anymore for fear of things coming out from under the bed or ... get this Freddy Kruger's claws coming up while I'm sitting on the toilet! UGH - lol!

You're going to be a great mom - you are a rockstar person, it'll shine through in motherhood! (and your baby is going to be gorgeous!!)

I'm working on a similar post....love this one! And there is no doubt in my mind that you will be a wonderful mother!
I think something is going to grab my leg in the night if I am not completely covered by covers/let any limb hang off of the bed. And nightly think there is going to be a ghost/murdered waiting for me in the bathroom when I turn on the light.. sigh.. overactive imagination i suppose! Haha
And I think if you DIDN'T worry about being a good mom then that would be weird.. Caring enough to worry about it is a sign ALREADY that you are going to be a fantastic mama! :)
great post, I used to be an Education Reporter for a local newspaper too at first making a grand ole $9/hr with my bachelor's degree, gotta love it.
I did a similar post today! It was fun thinking of things... Girl, I remember feeling the same way about motherhood but I can promise you that it will come so naturally! You will be a wonderful mother! That is so neat that you used to be a news reporter!

I know you love purple, but I didn't know that you were once a news reporter!! People always tell me that if I wasn't a teacher, I would be a great reporter! HAHA
My favourite colour is purple too. And I do suffer from irrational fears during the night about intruders etc.

I like this! I am sure pregnancy brings a lot of anxiety and stress about being a good mom, but I'm sure you will rock it :) I also cry too easily, but I love movies with a surprise ending (good or bad)!

I have anxiety, too. It's much more controlled now (thanks largely to medication) but I've had it since I was 5 or 6, and it used to be debilitating.

OMG, I still jump out of bed a good 2-3 feet away from the edge, because I'm still afraid of the dark. Of course, that means that when I'm returning I have to leap into bed - have to protect those feet from the boogie man! Ha!

I have TERRIBLE anxiety too...you are DEFINITELY not alone there...
Ha! So this is suuuper weird, but when I go to the bathroom I have to check the toilet bowl a few times (before/during etc.) to make sure there's no snakes or anything that could bite my ....
We live on the third floor of an apartment complex so I know its irrational but I still gotta' check!!
haha.. when I get into bed I always HOP into it.. so nothing will grab my feet. haha. My husband asked me why I always do that (because sometimes I do jump over him so I dont have to walk ALL.THE.WAY.AROUND. the bed.) and I told him.. he thought it was the funniest thing in the world.. and now yells "cockroaches are gonna get your feet" when I come to bed.
ya.. he is a sweetheart. lol

I can relate to so much of this. I'm also deathly afraid of something grabbing me from under the bed. I have the same fear of someone hiding under my car and grabbing my ankles when I go to get in it. Sometimes I look under before I get in when I'm in really sketchy parking lots :)
We have so much in common! In fact, I think we have more things alike than not from this list! I also love turtles, have anxiety, used to be a blonde, cry easily, wear contacts, sing almost any song, and so many more! haha!
