Giving Drama...without So Much Drama....

No no...not that kinda drama, ladies!

I'm talkin bout HAIR DRAMA!!!!

If y'all are like me, you are always looking for ways to spruce up a hairdo without having to go to the salon and shelling out tons 'o money to change up your look!

Today, I want to show you something SO EASY and SO FOOLPROOF even your gramma can do it. If your gramma has long hair. Mine does not. In fact...I don't think I could even imagine my gramma with long hair, now that I think about....

I digress.

Anyways...

I read in one of my magazines that parting your hair DOWN THE MIDDLE is the way to go right now.

If you guys scroll through any of my pics here on the blog or on Instagram, you know I definitely DO NOT wear my hair parted in the middle. I don't think I have worn my hair parted down the middle since middle school!

Here are some celebs rockin the middle part right now....

Camila Alves McConaughey

Kristen Bell

Giuliana Rancic

Nikki Reed

Hayden Panettiere

After seeing so many GORGEOUS women out there rockin the middle part...I wanted to try it.

I'm pregnant so I can't really color my hair and I definitely DO NOT want to cut it, so I figured the middle part was the way to go....

So....

Here is my before....

And my after....

TA DA!

I kinda love it!!!

I definitely will be wearing my hair like this more often!!!!

How do you give your hair more drama for less? Inquiring minds like my own want to know!!!

xoxo

the middle part looks great on you! I have noticed it EVERYWHERE, but sadly I have a lovely little natural part out of the side of my head haha so if I part it down the middle I have one side a LOT thicker than the other. Have you noticed that apparently a middle part is a requirement to be a Kardashian?

Great idea! I used to just add a funky flower clip or bow to spruce up my longer hair...but just last week I chopped it all off because I just have too much hair to deal with. It wasn't an expensive cut and I loved the outcome, so that worked for me!

I love the middle part on you! My mother always used to complain when I was in high school for wearing my hair parted down the middle, and on the side was the way to go. I think I may give the middle a try again now that my bangs have grown out!

I always keep my hair parted in the middle.. No matter how geeky I look. You however, pull it off so much better.

Confession Time : One of my guilty pleasures is watching America's Next Top Model. Before I'd watched all the seasons, I would watch the marathons of them on Saturdays and Sundays while I cleaned and what not around the house.

One time, I heard Tyra commenting on a girl's hair that came in for judging. She told her that her side part looks like "mall hair" and that a model wears her hair parted down the middle. After that, I started observing ALL these stars wearing their hair parted down the middle. So I started moving my part closer and closer to the middle and honestly, I LOVE wearing it like that. Right now it's short and let's face it, no one wears a middle part with short hair, but as it grows long again, my part will slowly start moving back to the middle. Because I want "model hair", not "mall hair". LOL!

Thanks Tyra, for scarring me forever! ;)

Have an awesome day!

I have learned to part mine in the middle and make it wavy with my straightner. I love it and its so easy and quick, but still looks like I put in some effort.

Yours looks beautiful and I def think you should wear it like that often!!

You look great. I would have to cut my hair in order to do that... Otherwise I'd look like Alanis Morissette via Jagged Little Pill. (She's always pretty. But, man, that hair. lol)

Can I also comment on how amazingly thick and long your hair is? Love the center part on you!

You look cute girly! I wish I could rock a middle part! :(

This looks really good on you! I'm afraid my hair will look so flat if I part it down the middle! But I guess I won't know until I try haha

Love it on you! I also haven't done it since elementary school. People part their hair on the side to compensate for the differences in their sides of the face. Really attractive people are symmetrical, regular looking people aren't. I think I have to keep the side part to help cover up the fact that one of my eyes is smaller than the other. Hahaha!

You pull it off SO WELL! Seriously looks amazing on you! I have realized it only looks good on my when I curl my hair.. if it's straight it's just... no haha but love love LOVE it on you!!(:

I don't think I've worn my hair down the middle since junior high, but it does give hair a little "oomf" in the volume and looks department! Looks great on you!

I've been parting my hair in the middle since the 90s ;) Thank goodness it's coming back in style :D

The middle part looks fabulous on you - it changes your whole look! The first thing I thought was, "She looks a lot like Kate Middleton" (or whatever her name is now that she and Will are married)

you look gorgeous!!

You can definitely pull it off! I can't! I have a cowlick (SP?) LOL and am only able to part a certain way. And if you're one of those people who need to color your hair (like me), there are ways you can during pregnancy. Lots of natural harmless products! If you choose to :) Can't wait to hear if it's a boy or girl!!

XOXOX

Recently I parted my hair down the middle after straightening it (which I don't do often), and I kinda loved the hippie-ish look! Yours looks great, too!
