| I wish I could take all of my weekly pregnancy pics at my mother-in-law's house! She has the best mirror!!! And I love her room!!! Target Maternity skirt, Motherhood Maternity stretchy tank, beach wavey hair |
How far along? 23 Weeks!!! I'm REALLY looking pregnant now!
Maternity clothes? Still the same as last time....maternity pants and a mix of maternity/non-maternity tops. Question though....WHERE ARE ALL THE FREAKIN CUTE MATERNITY CLOTHES?!?!?! Motherhood Maternity is great, but I just want to see what some others have to offer! I went to the Gap Maternity store...it sucked. Went to ASOS.com...didn't like it. Went to DestinationMaternity.com...same stuff as Motherhood. So frustrating to want to dress cute but can't find the cute clothes!!!!!
Stretch marks? No additional marks other than on the boobies :)
Sleep: I am sleeping SO HARD once I actually get the chance to fall asleep. I'm noticing more and more that I have to get up and use the ladies' so I'm trying to limit my fluid intake after 7pm. I've also discovered the beauty of surrounding myself with pillows...my husband may have an opposite opinion on this, since it takes so much room! But momma is comfortable and that is all that matters, right?!Best moment this week: Finally having a stranger ask about when I'm due! I'm definitely looking more and more pregnant!
Miss Anything? Nope!
Movement: Goodness, he is moving so much! Can't wait for Hubs to start feeling it.
Food cravings: really nothing at the moment. Actually, Raisinettes. I love me some Raisinettes.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Toast.
Gender: Baby boy
Labor Signs: Zero. Got a long time still!
Belly Button in or out? in!
Wedding rings on or off? Off and on....had to take them off Saturday night because I was sitting outside and experienced a little swelling. It went away within an hour and back on they went!
Mood: Awesome. Happy, tired, happy, sleepy, overwhelmed, but happy.
Looking forward to: So much....I can't even describe how much I am looking forward to being a mommy. I'm so in love with this little boy that is growing stronger and stronger by the minute!!! I can't wait to hold him in my arms.

And, as always, I am going to share where I am at on Alphamom's calendar!!! If you haven't checked out her blog, you must! She's hilarious and her week-by-week account of pregnancy just leaves me in stitches!!!!
- Your Baby at 23 weeks:
- Is a tad bigger than last week! Are you sensing a pattern! Goodness, I never realized how boring this stretch of pregnancy is, what with the “close to a pound, just over a pound, 11 inches long, 11 2/3 inches long” comparisons week after week.
- The pancreas is kicking into gear sometime around this week, and blood vessels continue to develop in the lungs. Lung development is a Big Thing right now, since babies born around 24 weeks gestation can often survive outside the womb. 23 weeks is pretty questionable, and 24 weeks certainly isn’t a peachy keen time to be born or anything, but still. If you’re the morbid sort who gets a tiny bit of comfort knowing that your baby has a fighting chance If Something Terrible Were To Happen, well, there you go.
You:
- “OMG, you’re so big! Are you sure it’s not twins?”
- Or, alternatively: “OMG, you barely look pregnant! Are you sure you’re 23 weeks?”
- SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP. Thank you. No woman is ever going to appreciate your boneheaded commentary on her size and/or weight. Last time I was plagued with dire predictions of hidden twins and early labor and 14-pound babies. This time I get only-sort-of affectionately called names by other women when queried about my weight gain. Which is 1) none of your business and 2) yes, everything IS okay, my baby is growing just fine, thank you for your nosy and very annoying “concern.”
- I AM ALSO CRABBY. PERHAPS YOU ARE TOO.
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day!!!!! Ours was wonderful and spent with family and friends....I'm very sad it's over!!!!
Happy Tuesday!!!

ahh you are so adorable. :)
about three years ago I got ALL of my maternity stuff at Target. So much better than spending the money at the big maternity stores BECAUSE, some of the stuff is very wearable post baby.

Loveee that skirt so much! I recently almost bought a chevron maxi skirt from Old Navy that was technically a maternity skirt. lol! Luckily that had a non-maternity one. You know, just in case the maternity ones come with some sort of bad omen. ;)
LOVE ITTTTTTT and you!
You look adorable! You are absolutely glowing!!! :-)
Aren't the comments lovely? The best part for me was feeling the baby move, especially after tootsie rolls.

I am having a fabulous giveaway right here.
You're a doll!!! And you look so happy! :)
You're looking fabulous. Glowing with pregnancy. Best of luck with the cute clothes, but I'm sure that's actually the least of your worries. All the best!
awwwh, you look so pretty michelle!! :)
You look fabulous and I just love how you have embraced your belly getting bigger. One of my besties bought all of her maternity clothes at Old Navy.
You look so cute. I have that same skirt from target and love it while I'm pregnant. I'll be 32 weeks on Friday and I still wear mine all the time
You look great! Love that outfit. :)
My sister always had cute maternity clothes, but I know she had a hard time finding them too! Ann Taylor Loft has a maternity line that you may want to check out, and I know my sis got some cute stuff from Heidi Klum's maternity line too, though I have no idea where you buy those sorts of things! Good luck! You are looking great!

I just love prego women in maxi skirts and dresses! I am going for my annual tomorrow and I KNOW I will see lots of cutie mamas to be and newborns...not helping with the baby fever!! PS when you have a chance, send me your address...I have something special for Baby Apple!
cute cute cute!
Love the bump! :) And believe me, you could stop drinking at noon and still have enough pee made for 3 visits during the night...so keep drinking. Cramps happen from dehydration, and usually happen during sleep, so you'll need that extra liquid! And Sears wasn't too bad for maternity clothes.
you are stunning.
such a glowing gal!
i look so forward to many more bump updates as you tackle this journey in life.
xx,
a
Old navy has THE cutest maternity clothes! Just ordered a bunch for myself including a maternity jean jacket. So excited. You look great! And I love hat you have on in the picture.
I hear ya girlfriend on the cute clothes!!! I am thinking with cooler weather (not sure how cool you get down there?!) scarves & cardis can help the plain t-shirt/shorts look I'm tired of rocking!! Kohls has cute stuff sometimes...hit or miss and best if it's on sale or you have coupons. Try some skinny belts too; they seem to add a little extra!
Have you joined Zulily.com yet? It's like a Haute Look or a Rue La La for moms - kids clothes, regular women's clothes, and maternity. Lots of cute options! Old Navy's a good one too. I've also seen some decent work items at JC Penney too.
I went maternity clothes shopping this past week and was very disappointed. The selection is terrible!
i LOVE your skirt! and your bump is presh! xoxox
i love the skirt!

Have you looked at Target's maternity stuff? I'm sure you have! They have such cute stuff, I almost bought something the other day that was maternity because I loved it so much! You look gorgeous :)
You look darling. :) And I know you've looked at Target, but I always get jealous there b/c I feel like the maternity dresses are sometimes cuter than the non-maternity dresses. ha!
I can't believe how cute you are! I LOVE your hair like that too!!
Eeek I love that bump!!
I bought a lot of my stuff from Target. They had cute things and were well made + inexpensive!
Here are a few other places to try though:

I ended up just buying a ton of Target stuff in larger sizes and passing it off as "maternity." Skirts, shirts, dresses, etc. I couldn't find much either. Pants like jeans/khakis I found at JC Penneys.
