The room is painted in a nice warm khaki color and full of gorgeous baby furniture...now all I need to do is make this room an amazing little haven for my little man!
The room is a nice size, not too big but really not that small. I will post pics of it as soon as I am finished!
I was thinking I would like a mini-gallery wall above his changing table/chest of drawers....here are some ideas I am using to help me out:
I also am on the hunt for the perfect lamp to sit on the table, as well:

I also have a beautiful hand made bookshelf that belonged to hubs mom and dad that is in the nursery. I want to scatter old childhood books of mine along with a few of my old stuffed animals, plus some new children's books and picture frames on it.
What do you mommies-to-be and mommies out there use as your inspiration for your nurseries/children's rooms?
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Hopefully next week I can have an update on the nursery for you!
Happy Friday!

I'm no mommy but I nannied for two years!! When you hang the pictures above the changing table plan on securing them really well with multiple 3M strips or moving them once baby Apple becomes more active. The boys I nannied would grab at the wall hangings and eventually yanked a few off the wall!! Lol silly babies!! Have fun decorating!!

I love the idea of the mini gallery wall!
I love it all! That chevron throw? I adore it I think I need one in my life! :)
We have two little foster boys and I've been working on their rooms for a while now. There both painted now, but I still need to work on decor. And hunting for the right fabric has been the most difficult chore! Fortunately, I found some finally at fabrics.com.
Anyway, here are my two inspiration boards for the boys' rooms:

And if you're interested, I do paintings and other decorations for nurseries and children's rooms. My "Let Her/Him Sleep... " painting is a hot item right now, and I'm always doing it in some different custom color. Right now I'm working on a coral one for a lady doing a nursery in coral and navy (adorable). http://www.etsy.com/shop/livedelightfully?ref=si_shop
I wish you luck on your decorating plans... I always seem to get distracted when I want to work on their rooms. haha. They sure do keep me hoppin'!!
Have an awesome weekend,
Regina
If that is a darling little bow tie in the first collage, I'm obsessed. You need that, indefinitely!
Those are beautiful! I'm starting to look at things to get for the babies room, and it's overwhelming! What kind of crib & glider did you get?
LOVE the chevron! Would look AWESOME in a nursery! I just recently found your blog and I love it!

How fun! I love the first gallery wall example, with just a few (maybe 5 or 6) items.
